This is a wonderful opportunity for any keen photographer who enjoys the outdoors and wants to learn new skills, gain some unique experiences, expand their repertoire, meet like-minded people and enjoy two days in the stunning mountains of North Wales.
You will meet Luca, your course leader, on day 1 at 10am in a local cafe to chat about the day ahead, meet the group and share your experience as well as looking at photographs that you’ve brought with you. After sorting out all the kit you’ll be heading out for a walk taking in opportunities for creative photos followed by a walk up to a summit/high point for late afternoon to get the golden hour for sunset. Day 2 will be an early start to photograph the sunrise followed by a half day walk for more opportunities for photographs and aim to be wrapped up by lunchtime/early afternoon for a sit-down, coffee and review of photos before finishing by 3pm.
Group size: 2-8*

Your course leader:
Luca is a qualified mountaineering and climbing instructor and a winter mountain leader. Using these qualifications he has also worked on many film and photography shoots ensuring safety for commercial camera work both with and without ropes. His personal photography has been used in various print magazines, most recently ‘professional mountaineer’ and by Rockfax climbing guidebooks, and he regularly gets ‘photo of the week’ on UKclimbing.com/UKhillwalking.com. Having spent much time in North Wales he not only know the classic spots for taking photos, but many different places people ordinarily wouldn’t go.
The cost for the 2 days is £180 per person plus VAT (£216). A deposit of £100 will be taken upon booking which secures your place on the course. The remainder is to be paid 21 days prior to the event. Further information including personal kit needed and arrangements for meeting will be sent nearer the time. We suggest booking accommodation as soon as possible. Accommodation options range from luxury hotels, self-catering lodges, B&Bs, cottages or for the more budget conscious hostels and caravan sites.
